The content on this blog is created in a way that you can rely on in a general sense. It is designed to help you understand concepts, and most learners of English should find it very helpful. However, this is for informational purposes only and should be treated as such.
It is written from a perspective of a British English speaker, and so I as the author cannot guarantee that the things talked about on this blog apply everywhere. While I try my hardest to put disclaimers in every post about potential discrepancies between different varieties of English, you must always bear in mind that English is the de facto International Language spoken in many different places throughout the world, and as such can vary greatly from place to place.
The total number of regional dialects/varieties of English around the globe is impossible to estimate but is easily in the hundreds (if not thousands). I cannot be expected to cover all of them and for that reason you must always assume that the content on this blog applies to Standard British English.
You can safely assume that the majority of my content will also apply to American English as well as Australian English given how similar they are to British English. The three varieties are almost completely intelligible and the only notable difference is in how they are pronounced (which is out of scope of this blog anyway). That said, there are occasional differences in grammar and usage and while I attempt to make note of these wherever I see them, I cannot guarantee to always do that.
With regards to all the other varieties of English, my blog may or may not be applicable to them.
For more information about varieties of English I can only refer you to a professional linguist who studied this subject.
The information is written from the perspective of a modern speaker. Languages change over time and, given enough time, some of it may become old-fashioned and inapplicable. Be warned that if you are using the content from this blog many years after its creation, you may be relying on outdated information.
Speaking a language is a difficult skill to master. My blog falls under the umbrella of general advice and/or supplementary material (unless stated otherwise). If you are serious about learning English, you should consider studying with a professional who can create lessons and materials especially for you and your needs.
